Burien residents are invited to take part in National Night Out events across the city tonight – Tuesday, Aug. 4 – with 24 neighborhood gatherings planned at homes, apartment communities, parks and local businesses.

The Burien Police Department and King County Sheriff’s Office provided a map of local National Night Out locations to The B-Town Blog for Tuesday evening.

National Night Out is an annual community event intended to strengthen relationships among neighbors and between residents and public safety agencies.

Events are planned at the following locations:

  • SW 129th Street and 14th Ave SW cul-de-sac, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • 200 SW 137th Street, 5 to 7 p.m.
  • 13400 First Ave SW, 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Southwest 142nd Street between 4th and 6th avenues southwest, 6 to 9 p.m.
  • 13600 6th Ave SW, 5 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Woodridge Park Apartments Main Office, 12400 28th Ave S., 4 to 6:30 p.m.
  • 800 S. 136th Street, 5:30 to 8 p.m.
  • 800 S. 120th Street, 6:30 to 9 p.m.
  • 14900 22nd Ave SW, 6 to 9 p.m.
  • 14800 18th Ave SW, 6 to 8 p.m.
  • 1400 SW 158th Street, 6 to 8 p.m.
  • 1800 SW 156th Street, 6 to 8 p.m.
