A burglary at a Burien home last month led police deputies to a stolen car and a pursuit that stretched through SeaTac and Tukwila before ending with an arrest in SeaTac, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said a Flock camera helped deputies locate the stolen vehicle after the burglary. The suspect then led deputies on what officials described as a wild pursuit (see video below).
During the chase, the driver pulled in front of Tukwila Fire Station 51, backed up, jumped a curb and drove across the grass. He then sped through a neighborhood, drove between two houses and crashed through a fence onto Military Road.
After crashing the car, the suspect was found hiding in a shed behind a house in SeaTac, officials said. K9 Axel, along with a Tukwila Police Department K9 unit, searched through some sticker bushes during the response.
Deputies detained the passenger in the vehicle and later arrested the suspect. The fire department checked him out, and he was taken to a hospital before being booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of felony eluding and possession of a stolen vehicle, according to authorities.
