Police Offer Safety Tips
Stay safe when parking or walking to your car by taking precautions, no matter the location or the hour. Here are some tips to help:
- Park your vehicle in well-lit areas.
- If you sense danger, go back inside. When possible, ask someone to walk with you to your vehicle.
- You should also check your car from a distance. Take note of anything suspicious and be sure to have your keys ready. Do not give more attention to your phone than your surroundings.
- Make sure to check your back seat before you get into your vehicle. Once inside, lock your doors immediately.
- Look around your vehicle as you leave. Don’t forget to also check your mirrors before pulling away.

How did these POS’s get away???
There are a bunch of thugs that live in three houses on the south side 131st between 2nd Ave SW and 4th Avenue. They come and go all hours of the day. From the day I moved into the neighborhood in 1997 they drive at high speed through the neighborhood. They’ve egged my car. Aimed their cars at me when I’m walking on the shoulder to get my Mail veering off at the last minute. Flattened tires on both my and my wife’s car, causing her to wreck and total her car. Driven golf balls with a golf club from the front yard of their house into (and shattering) my front window, shot windows out of my car in the driveway with a pellet rifle. Prowl my property at night. One winter one them of drove their black land rover suv up on my parking strip while I was clearing snow to try and intimidate me. I ignored the punk not about to give the loser the satisfaction. He drove up on me at speed deliberately missed me by inches. These punks have known each other for years and operate as a gang. One of my neighbors is convinced they deal drugs out of their houses.
After the police searched my street and neighborhood after the carjacking, they vanished for two weeks (coincidence?) and now they’re back. And the harassment has resumed. This harassment has been happening for years. If I go away for the weekend or on vacation I never know what I’m going to find when I get home. I am almost certain these four car jackers are one and the same as these neighbor punks, they are the right age and temperament as the suspects
