Burien’s Logan Brewing announced this week that it will expand operations by taking over the former Airways Brewing production brewery and taproom in Kent (map below).

The Burien-based brewery, which recently was awarded by Discover Burien as a “Business that makes a difference in Downtown Burien,” is currently navigating the permitting process and plans to reopen the taproom this summer, creating a welcoming, family-friendly and dog-friendly environment for the community.

“We’re so excited to put down more roots in South King County,” Logan Brewing owner Chris Palumbo said in a Facebook post. “Born in Burien, made in Kent.”

Airways Brewing previously occupied the space but closed after 14 years, leaving a legacy that Logan Brewing aims to continue. Palumbo said he expects the expansion will allow it to grow its production capacity and engage a broader customer base.

Further announcements regarding the taproom’s opening date and planned events are expected in the coming months.
