If you saw/heard a lot of police activity around the Lake Burien area on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 7, here’s what we know (as of 3:54 p.m.): Police responded to a trespassing call about a male subject in a backyard of a house in the 1600 block of SW 156th Street (map below). The man was bleeding, and police say he was making strange statements that lead them to believe he may have assaulted someone. He then ran through blackberry bushes and apparently decided to go swimming in the lake, before getting into a kayak. He also donned a life jacket. King County Sheriff’s Guardian 1 helicopter was circling overhead, many vehicles and deputies were on site, along with the KCSO Marine Unit to try and retrieve him. Thankfully, Burien Police announced at 3:50 p.m. that the situation has been peacefully resolved:
