Community groups, businesses and residents are invited to participate in the 104th annual Burien 4th of July Parade, which will start marching at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 4.
According to Discover Burien, participation in the parade is free and open to businesses, nonprofits, schools, clubs, churches, sports teams, classic car owners, performance groups and community organizations.
“Do you own a business?” organizers said. “Represent a nonprofit, school, club, church, sports team, or community organization? Have a classic car, decorated vehicle, performance group, or simply want to show your community spirit?”
The parade will also commemorate America 250, marking 250 years of the nation’s history, resilience and spirit.
Discover Burien is encouraging organizations and residents to take part in what it calls one of the city’s most cherished traditions and a community celebration that has continued for more than a century.
According to Discover Burien, participating groups will have an opportunity to connect with thousands of community members, gain exposure for their organizations and celebrate community pride during one of Burien’s longest running events.
Please note that the number of entries allowed in the parade is capped at 80, and once all of the spots are filled up they will no longer accept applications.
