Burien Police Detectives caught two suspects in the act of tagging at Chelsea Park (map below) Thursday morning, Nov. 7, 2019.
Based on the style and language of the graffiti, investigators believe these two are responsible for the majority of the tagging that has occurred in the area of SW 136th Street and Ambaum Blvd. SW recently.
Police say that there was a significant increase in activity over the past week, including five separate incidents reported over the weekend, resulting in thousands of dollars in property damage.
One suspect is 19-years old, the other is 17 and was in possession of a handgun. The 17-year-old has other firearms-related charges pending.
Both suspects were arrested and booked into jail.
Burien P.D. says that emphasis patrols will continue in the area.
Two males were arrested and a handgun was recovered in a tagging/vandalism incident in Burien today. We believe these two are responsible for thousands of dollars of damage in the area recently.
