A months-long narcotics investigation launched in Burien led to the arrest of a suspected drug trafficker accused of distributing methamphetamine and cocaine across multiple Puget Sound cities, according to the Burien Police Department.

Police said they received a tip in August about suspected drug activity at a Burien restaurant (EDITOR’S NOTE: police did not release the name or location of the restaurant; if/when they do, we’ll update this post).

The Precinct 4 Special Emphasis Team initiated surveillance and identified a suspect selling narcotics to customers at the location.

Detectives later determined the individual was distributing drugs in Burien, SeaTac, Woodinville, Shoreline, Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond.

On several occasions, investigators observed the suspect selling narcotics within 1,000 feet of a Bellevue middle school, police said. With assistance from K9 Quinn, detectives obtained a search warrant for the suspect and his Bellevue apartment.

The warrant resulted in the following seizures:

  • 1.07 pounds of methamphetamine and cocaine
  • $51,787 in drug proceeds
  • 1 stolen 9mm handgun
  • 2020 Mustang used in drug trafficking

The suspect was booked on two counts of investigation of possession with intent to deliver with a school zone enhancement, and one count of investigation of possession of a stolen firearm.
