Burien Police announced this week the conclusion of a major drug trafficking investigation that resulted in the seizure of large quantities of narcotics and nearly $180,000 in cash, according to the department.

Police said that Burien’s Precinct 4 Special Emphasis Team concluded an investigation into a local area drug trafficker working for a Mexico-based source of supply. Authorities said the suspect was distributing fentanyl pills, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine to several communities in King County.

According to police, the investigation led to the seizure of 506.2 grams of methamphetamine, 1,806.1 grams of heroin, 5,668.6 grams of cocaine and approximately 9,980 M 30 fentanyl pills. Officers also seized $179,971 in U.S. currency believed to be drug proceeds.

The total street value of the drugs seized is estimated at $705,304, according to Burien Police.

One suspect was booked into the King County Jail on four counts of violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act possession with intent and conspiracy to deliver. Police said the suspect is currently being held on $500,000 bail.

The investigation targeted distribution affecting multiple King County communities, according to the department.
