Burien Police/King County Sheriff’s Office detectives seized an estimated $638,000 worth of narcotics and arrested a suspected drug trafficker linked to the Sinaloa Cartel during a recent operation in King County, authorities announced.

The bust, which took place on May 7, 2025, was the result of an investigation led by the Sheriff’s Office Precinct 4 Special Emphasis Team – based in Burien – with assistance from K9 Quinn, the SeaTac and Precinct 5 Special Emphasis Teams, and Burien’s Crime Reduction Unit.

Officials credited K9 Quinn with assisting in the operation, which disrupted a significant source of illicit drugs in King County, including Burien, Seattle, and Shoreline.

With an assist from K9 Quinn (naturally) on May 7, detectives were able to seize:

  • 9.45 pounds of Heroin
  • 4.25 pounds of Cocaine
  • 1.7 pounds of Fentanyl powder
  • 8,400 M-30 Fentanyl pills
  • $9,887 cash seized (drug proceeds)

One suspect was booked into jail for multiple counts of possession and intent to sell.

The drug trafficking operation targeted distribution networks in Burien, Seattle and Shoreline.

“Additional thanks to the SeaTac and Precinct 5 Special Emphasis Teams, as well as the Burien detectives in our Crime Reduction Unit,” police said.

  1. Thank you all, and thank you all for helping to keep these drugs away from the kids❤🙏

  2. Outstanding job! So wonderful to get these drugs off the streets and the criminals apprehended. Countless lives have been saved. Many thanks

  3. Once again a very good job done by the Detectives and KC/Burien Police and of course K9 Quinn!

  4. This is a question, not an accusation but I wonder how much being a Sanctuary City might give drug dealers a perceived sense of safety from Law Enforcement until they fly too high in the radar and get caught.
