Burien Actors Theatre (BAT) is starting the New Year with a new addition to its Board of Trustees – Glen Park, a theater enthusiast with a rich background in marketing, project management, and pharmaceutical development, has joined BAT’s leadership team to help make 2025 a standout year for local theater.
Park comes to the BAT Board of Trustees with a passion for live theater honed during his time living in New York City and attending countless performances on- and off-Broadway for 20+ years, including many years of active support of The Public Theater. Park brings skills to the Board, which include marketing and project management.
Professionally, Park earned degrees in Pharmacy and Jurisprudence and worked in academia and the pharmaceutical/biotech industry for over 35 years, leading programs to develop new drug products for diseases such as hypertension and diabetes.
Park’s work includes having more than 40 articles published in peer-reviewed journals. In addition, he has led more than 100 meetings between medical product companies and the US Food and Drug Administration to negotiate the types of research needed to obtain approval for new medical products, including devices.
Park has been a regular member and chair of panels advising the National Institute of Health on scientific support contracts. He continues to carry on an active consulting business in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
By joining the BAT Board, Park seeks to help further its mission to deliver a culturally rich experience to the community and make Burien a destination for entertaining and exciting theater.
