Burien CARES Animal Control is asking the community for help as it runs low on two key supplies: kitten food and laundry detergent.
The shelter, which provides animal care and control services for the City of Burien, said the need is especially urgent during the busy summer season.
It’s summer and we’ve got lots of little mouths to feed,” the organization said in its appeal.
Burien CARES said it is accepting donations of any brand of laundry detergent, including half-used bottles.
“What we’re looking for to fill our most urgent need are even half-used bottles, especially if you’re allergic or no longer use them,” the shelter stated.
Supplies can be dropped off at Burien CARES, 909 SW 151st Street (map below), Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Donations can also be shipped directly via the group’s Amazon Wish List.
The nonprofit thanked the community for its ongoing support.
“Thank you for being part of our animal-loving community. Every little donation makes a big difference!”
