The City of Burien on Monday opened the nomination process for its annual ‘Citizen of the Year’ award, and they’re seeking worthy candidates.
“Heroes often go unnoticed and are shy from attention,” the city posted. “A cape to them is just an apron worn backward. That’s why your help is needed! Please help us find and recognize an individual or organization that helps others and helps improve the quality of life for Burien residents with the Burien Citizen of the Year Award.”

Do you know someone who has improved the qualilty of life in Burien?
Do you know of a program or organization that has helped others in the community?
Do you know someone who should be recognized for his/her contributions?
The City accepts nominations throughout the year with the award presented in April 2015.
