The City of Burien will celebrate its fifth annual Pride Flag Raising this Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at City Hall, and all community members are invited to attend.
The event, part of Burien’s ongoing efforts to foster inclusion and visibility for LGBTQ+ residents, will feature the raising of the Progress Pride Flag outside City Hall.
Free coffee and cookies will be available for attendees as part of the celebration.
The Progress Pride flag, designed by Daniel Quasar in 2018, incorporates additional colors to represent marginalized communities within the LGBTQ+ spectrum, has flown at Burien City Hall each year since the tradition began in 2020.
The city encourages attendees to share their support using the hashtag #CelebrateBurien.
All are welcome to join us on Thursday, May 29 at 10:30 a.m. as we raise the Pride flag at Burien City Hall for the fifth year in a row. Enjoy free coffee and cookies as we #CelebrateBurien together. pic.twitter.com/FX8RMWdKi8
