REMINDER: It’s the perfect way to end your hectic Black Friday of shopping (locally of course) – Burien Actors Theatre’s production of ‘Handle with Care’ opens at 8 p.m. this Friday night, Nov. 23.
Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. through Dec. 16 at Burien Actors Theatre, located at 14501 4th Ave SW in Burien.
Starting the day after Thanksgiving, Handle with Care is a delightfully fresh holiday comedy dusted with magic and brimming with romance – a Holiday show that is NOT a retelling the Christmas Carol! (“Joy of joys”).
This Northwest premiere is from Jason Odell Williams, the writer of BAT’s hit production last spring of Church & State. Performances run November 23 through December 16.
BAT’s production features specialty drinks themed to the show and plenty of free on-site parking, plus an opening night party.
“HANDLE WITH CAREâ€
Ayelet, a young Israeli woman with little command of English, reluctantly travels with her grandmother to America at Christmastime. Circumstances both hilarious and sad involving a DHX driver’s stolen truck and a “lost package†bring Ayelet together with Josh, a young man who has little command of Hebrew or romance. Is their attraction an accident, or a destiny generations in the making?
“Hilarious and heartwarming.”This show contains infrequent adult language that includes “G, D and J” words. BAT’s policy is to inform audiences of content but to let parents, guardians and teachers make decisions that they feel appropriate for the youth and teens in their care. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. at Burien Actors Theatre, located at 14501 4th Ave SW in Burien.— NY Times
