A suspect was booked into the King County Jail after deputies responded to a domestic violence-related shooting and barricaded suspect situation Friday evening, Mar. 6 near White Center, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO).

Deputies were initially called at about 5:45 p.m. to the 2500 block of SW 107th Way near Arbor Heights (map below) after a 911 report of a shooting inside a residence.

Police said a domestic violence related shooting occurred inside the home. The injured victim was evacuated from the residence and transported to a hospital. Officials have not yet released an update on the victim’s condition.

The suspect remained inside the residence, prompting a barricaded suspect response as deputies worked to take the person into custody safely.

KCSO said it used multiple resources while attempting to resolve the incident, and streets in the immediate area were closed during the response.

At about 8:15 p.m., deputies safely took the suspect into custody, according to police. Detectives remained in the area later Friday evening to continue processing the crime scene.

Officials later confirmed the shooting suspect was booked into the King County Jail Friday night.

Investigators also said a vehicle that drove through the crime scene during the incident appeared to be unrelated (see video courtesy KOMO News below). Authorities located the vehicle and arrested one subject, who was also booked into the King County Jail.
