A local Cub Scout pack is inviting residents to support its youth programs while preparing their gardens for spring through a compost fundraiser now underway.
Cub Scout Pack 375 is selling “DooGood” compost as part of a seasonal fundraiser to support pack activities such as the Pinewood Derby, camping trips and other scouting programs.
The compost is promoted as being packed with nutrients that can help grow vibrant flowers, maintain lush lawns and support raised garden beds as the spring planting season approaches.
Customers who purchase compost can pick up their order Saturday, March 21 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the southeast corner of the Saint Francis parking lot at 15236 21st Ave. SW in Burien (map below).
Delivery is also available for customers between Mar. 21–23.
Buyers are asked to specify whether they prefer delivery or pickup when placing their order, and to include the name of the Cub Scout they are supporting so the scout receives credit for the sale.
Organizers also say community members who would like to support Pack 375 directly can also make donations to help fund activities and programming for local scouts.
