One of the largest Pride festivals in South King County is returning the weekend of May 30–June 1, as Burien Pride 2025 takes over downtown for a full weekend of celebration, music, and inclusivity.
The three-day event that is open to all will feature a street dance party, a family-friendly festival, and drag bingo with pancakes – all designed to bring the community together through a shared message of unity, acceptance, and peace.
This year’s theme is “OUT LOUD!”
“Let’s make this our biggest pride ever,” organizers said. “Help us by sharing, inviting your friends to the event link, or post to your groups. As J Lo would say, ‘Let’s get louuuuuud!‘”
- The festivities will begin Friday night, May 30, from 5 to 10 p.m. with an outdoor Street Dance Party, welcoming all to kick off the weekend with live music and dancing in the streets of downtown Burien.
- Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. will feature an all-day street festival packed with live bands, DJs, and drag performances. The event is free, family-friendly, and includes a dedicated kids’ area, local vendors, food, and community booths.
- The celebration continues on Sunday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with Drag Queen Bingo & Pancakes, a fun and spirited gathering to raise funds for the inaugural Burien Pride Scholarship, supporting LGBTQ+ youth in the region.
Organizers say the goal of Burien Pride goes far beyond entertainment.
“Our mission is to unite the community through a symbol of unity, acceptance, and peace, fostering inclusivity and mutual respect for all,” organizers said in a statement.

What is the city going to do to prevent the annual theft or destruction of pride flags? There are at least two losers who steal them every year.
