The DubSea Fish Sticks this week announced that Head Coach Elliott Cribby has been named the new head baseball coach at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo, an NCAA Division II program competing in the Pacific West Conference.
The announcement was made by Hawai’i Hilo Athletics on June 3.
Cribby joined the Fish Sticks organization in 2024 season and quickly established himself as a leader dedicated to player development, program growth, and creating opportunities for student-athletes to succeed both on and off the field.
“We couldn’t be happier for Elliott and his family,” said Justin Moser, President and CEO of the DubSea Fish Sticks. “From the moment he arrived in White Center, he brought a tremendous amount of energy, professionalism, and baseball knowledge to our organization. While we’re excited to continue working alongside him until he has to report to UHH, we’re equally excited to see him take the next step in his coaching career at Hawai’i Hilo.”
Cribby brings more than a decade of collegiate coaching experience to his new role. His coaching background includes stops at Seattle University, Purdue University, the University of Washington, the University of the Pacific, Central Washington University, and Abilene Christian University. Most recently, he served as head coach at Eastlake High School in Sammamish while also leading the DubSea Fish Sticks to a franchise best record of 63-23. Last summer, Cribby lead the Sticks to their first League Championship in franchise history.
“Coach Cribby’s success is a reflection of the quality of people involved in our organization,” Moser added. “We strive to create an environment where coaches, players, interns, and staff can grow and pursue bigger opportunities. Elliott’s appointment to Hawai’i Hilo is another example of that mission in action.”
Cribby will continue to lead the Fish Sticks throughout the month of June, then assistant coach Marc Linn will take over as interim Head Coach.
“The DubSea Fish Sticks organization congratulates Coach Cribby on this well-deserved opportunity and looks forward to following the future success of the Vulcans baseball program.”
