The second round of results for the Aug. 1, 2023 Primary Election are still favoring Linda Akey and Rut Perez-Studer for Position No. 2, and Kevin Schilling and Patricia Hudson for Position No. 4.

Position No. 2 incumbent Cydney Moore is still in third place – but gaining, now down by only 15 votes (vs. 73 on Aug. 1), with 1,656 votes, 26.67 percent.

In the race for Highline School Board Director District 1, it’s still Stephanie Tidholm (5,443 votes 36.94%) and Michael T. Lewis (4,587 votes, 31.13%); for Director District 4, it’s Melissa Petrini (6,897 votes, 47.36%) and Carlos M. Ruiz (4,283 votes, 29.41%).

And in other local election news, perennial candidate GoodSpaceGuy is in third place for King County Council, District No. 8, with 1,707 votes, 4.73%.

The top two vote-getters for each race will move on to the Nov. 7 General Election.
