In advance of the primary election, the League has also invited all Port Commission primary candidates to complete a questionnaire on aviation and airport expansion issues. See the League’s questionnaire for primary candidates here (PDF file). The League will seek to publish all responses timely received.

The League has also invited city council candidates from all six airport neighbor communities – Des Moines, Federal Way, Burien, Normandy Park, Seatac, and Tukwila, to complete the questionnaire, and will seek to publish all timely responses.

In April of this year, the League sponsored a public Town Hall in Burien attended by over 250 people featuring a keynote by Congressman Adam Smith, airnoise.io inventor Chris McCann, State Representatives Mike Pellicciotti and Tina Orwall, a special report on the World Health Organization’s new Environmental Noise Guidelines, and an “aviation noise and emission 101” by local attorney, filmmaker, activist and town hall emcee Steve Edmiston.
