The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Washington Chapter’s annual Party for Prevention fundraiser will be held from 6–9 p.m. on Thursday night, June 27, 2024 at Logan Brewing in Burien.

AFSP is a national nonprofit with chapters in all 50 states and Puerto Rico committed to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.

Each year, the Washington chapter of AFSP hosts Party for Prevention to bring together dozens of supporters for a night of food, drinks, live music, a silent auction, and a wine pull to raise funds for life-saving programs and suicide prevention efforts across Washington state.

Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in Washington, but it is preventable. Events like this raise not only funds, but also awareness, and allow organizers to invest in new research, deliver educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. 

“With your support, we’ll be one step closer to achieving our bold goal of reducing the suicide rate 20% by 2025,” organizers said.
