As we previously reported, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Heat Advisory, which be in effect from Friday, July 5 to 10 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024.

NWS predicts “hot conditions with temperatures in the upper 80s and 90s expected” through Monday night, which will post a moderate to major risk of heat-related illness.

The Burien Community Center, Burien Library, and Boulevard Park Library all have air conditioning, and can serve as cooling centers when open.

  • Building closed: 2 – 3 p.m. 
  • Monday – Thursday: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
