Hi-Liners Musical Theatre this week unveiled its new season, which will feature a diverse range of productions for young performers.

The season kicks off with Annie Jr., a beloved classic, followed by Mean Girls Jr., a high school comedy favorite.

Later in the season, audiences will enjoy the high-energy Newsies and the colorful Lion King Kids.

Performances will be held at Highline College in Des Moines and the Highline Performing Arts Center in Burien.

Auditions for performers aged 7-21 begin Sept. 9, 2024, with workshops designed to prepare participants for these exciting shows.

The Hi-Liners season aims to provide young performers with opportunities to develop their skills in front of a live audience, while also fostering a sense of community within the troupe. Audition workshops will offer guidance and support for those new to theater as well as returning actors, helping them get ready for roles in the upcoming productions. The shows will run throughout 2025, with performances scheduled between January and August.

Hi-Liners Musical Theatre has a long-standing reputation for producing high-quality youth theater in the South King County area, and this season is set to offer an unforgettable experience for both performers and audiences alike.

“Mark your calendars and see you in the theatre or on stage!”

About the Hi-Liners

The Hi-Liners began life in 1966 as the brainchild of William A Moeller, a teacher in the Highline School District, as a summer program. From 1966 to 1987 the program grew, becoming a year round, district-wide performing group that entertained audiences all over the Northwest with variety shows. In 1991, when the new Highline Performing Arts Center was preparing to open, the Hi-Liners and Mr. Moeller were again called to serve with a series of popular reunion shows in celebration of the new state-of-the-art theater. In 1994 the organization again felt called to bring professional values and quality to the young people of South King County and we began presenting one MainStage production each fall.
