Kennedy Catholic High School’s Lancers showcased another commanding performance on Friday night, Nov. 1, 2024, spearing through the Mt. Rainier Rams by a score of 62-11 at Highline Memorial Stadium.
With this 4A NPSL conference victory, the Lancers were crowned NPSL 4A League Champs for the sixth time, with a 9-0 overall record.
Kennedy will find out who they face in the opening round of playoffs once the WIAA seating committee releases matchups on Sunday, Nov. 3 (check WIAA playoff brackets here).
“Let’s rally together and show our true Lancer pride as we chase the ultimate goal,” the school said in a statement.
The Lancers, known for their high-powered offense, took control early and never looked back, setting the tone with a series of touchdowns that quickly put Mt. Rainier on the defensive.
The game was pretty much over by the end of the first quarter, with Kennedy ahead 35-0, and was certainly sealed by the 55-3 score at halftime.
With this victory, the undefeated Lancers continue to look strong heading into the playoffs, showcasing both depth and resilience on both sides of the ball.
Overall, the Lancers are scoring an impressive average of 50.3 points per game.
Kennedy Catholic’s victory elevates their overall 2024 season record to 9-0, and positions them as a formidable contender as they move into postseason play.
