Two unruly and “baaa-aaad” goats found themselves in police custody over the weekend, after causing a stir in Kent’s North End.
The animals – whose origins remain a mystery – were reported for chasing pedestrians in what authorities described as an attempt to “have a good time at everyone else’s expense.”
The goats, described as “very cute but no kidding around, highly mischievous,” were apprehended without incident. According to officers on the scene, one goat attempted to justify its behavior, claiming it was simply “feeling a bit baaaaa-d today.”
Despite their antics, the goats were spared formal charges for their “nefarious acts” and instead received a luxurious ride to the King County Animal Shelter. Staff at the shelter are working to locate the owners of the wayward duo.
Kent Police issued a statement reminding residents—human or otherwise—that chasing others is not acceptable behavior. “We love a good laugh, but we’re not kidding when we say everyone deserves to feel safe in their community,” the department said.
The goats, now being hailed as the most memorable “suspects” of the week, are reportedly resting comfortably at the Regional Animal Service Center of King County while awaiting reunion with their owners.
