A man with an outstanding warrant was arrested after ramming into at least two King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) vehicles during a brief pursuit in downtown Burien on Wednesday evening, Oct. 18, 2023.

Police said it all started around 5:50 pm, when KCSO deputies serving Burien PD located a male subject who they believed to have active arrest warrant(s).

The subject attempted to flee from deputies in a vehicle.

While doing so, the subject rammed into and damaged at least two KCSO vehicles. The subject continued to flee in his now-damaged vehicle.

Deputies opted not to engage in a further pursuit of the vehicle.

However, a short distance away, the subject crashed or otherwise abandoned his vehicle. Resources including additional patrol deputies, a K-9 unit, and the Guardian One helicopter were quickly on the scene to conduct a ground search for the subject.

By 6:22 p.m., the suspect was located and arrested without further incident.

The subject will be booked into jail on his original arrest warrant. Additional charges related to his attempts to evade arrest will be considered during the follow-up investigation.

Neither the subject nor KCSO deputies were injured during this incident.

The subject rammed the KCSO vehicles in the 200 block of S. 162nd Street in Burien.

He crashed/abandoned his vehicle near the intersection of SW 151 Street and 12th Ave SW, and was taken into custody near SW 150th Street and Ambaum Blvd SW:
