A motorcyclist was hospitalized Wednesday morning, Feb. 26, 2025 after a crash near SW 130th Street & Ambaum BIvd. SW in Burien (map below), authorities said.

Firefighters from King County Fire District No. 2, with assistance from Medic One, responded to the scene at around 11:57 a.m. and treated the male rider, who sustained serious but not fatal injuries.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for further treatment, fire officials said.

An eyewitness to the incident told The B-Town Blog:

“This crazy motorcycle passed me and the car in front of me crossing into the ongoing lane (with no cars) just at the lighted intersection. He must have hit something to demolish the motorcycle and throw him into on opposite traffic lane, like another car or divider poles.”

The King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is investigating the cause of the accident.

No further details were immediately available.
