Start 2024 off with an invigorating dip at the Cove during Normandy Park’s Polar Plunge at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024.

This family-friendly event is open to all, and will be the city’s second official plunge.

And since this plunge starts at 11 a.m., you can still also jump in the Puget Sound at the Three Tree Point Polar Bear Plunge, which starts at Noon.

“Whether you go in to your shoulders, do a full dunk, dip your toes, or just want to watch, we encourage you to join us for this eye-opening start to the New Year,” organizers said. “We will plunge regardless of rain, snow or wind.”

  • Coffee & Hot Cocoa will be served at 10:30 a.m.
  • Plunge at 11 a.m.

Tips For First-Time Plungers:

  • Wear water shoes to protect your feet.
  • Bring a cozy bathrobe or plush towel or blanket to warm up afterwards.
  • Plunge with friends, family and cheer, help and watch out for each other!
