On Friday night, Aug. 4, 2023, the amazing 80s tribute band Nite Wave will rock the Burien UFO Festival (BUFO) in Olde Burien, from 9 – 11 p.m.
This free outdoor concert will serve as the musical climax to BUFO, which will start at 4 p.m.
This event may rock Burien so much that Congress may holding a UAP hearing on it!
If you don’t know Nite Wave, prepare to get your 80s-styled toe socks knocked off, as their impressive playlist includes hits from Prince to Depeche Mode to Duran Duran to INXS and and much more!
Formed in 2011 after answering a Craigslist Ad, Nite Wave is a band passionate about 80s New Wave and putting on a night you’ll never forget.
“We have had the privilege of being hand picked by Billy Idol to open up for him on tour and have also shared the stage with Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go’s, Clive Farrington of When in Rome and Multi-Platinum selling artist Tiffany,” according to their website.
Nite Wave pays homage to the artists who designed a decade and bring a certain energy to their shows that is unique and infectious.
And even if you’re not into UFOs (now known as UAPs) or are a certified Man/Woman In Black, this band is worth coming to witness just on their own. We’ve seen them live several times, and they always put on an incredible, highly-danceable performance that might even inspire the Greys to boogie down with the MIBs.
Costumes of course are encouraged (and there will be a costume contest!), ranging from aliens to men/women in black and more.
