One person is dead and another hospitalized after a shooting early Thursday morning, July 3, 2025 near the Glen Acres Golf Course in Burien’s Boulevard Park neighborhood, the King County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

Deputies responded around 1:45 a.m. to reports of gunfire and arguing in the 1000 block of S. 112th Street (map below).

First responders from North Highline Fire and multiple sheriff’s deputies quickly arrived at the scene, where they found two victims.

When they arrived, they found one person deceased at the scene. A second man suffered gunshot wounds to his arm.

A responding deputy applied a tourniquet in an attempt to control the bleeding of one victim before medics transported him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His condition has not been released.

Drone footage from KING 5 News showed a significant police response, including a vehicle surrounded by evidence markers. Investigators were still documenting the scene hours later, and the area remained closed off as of Thursday morning.

The King County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.

As of Thursday morning, no suspects had been identified.

Authorities said they will provide updates as more information becomes available.
