This Sunday, Mar. 29, 2026 marks Palm Sunday, a day marking the beginning of “Holy Week” by most Christian denominations.

Within what is known as the Christian Liturgical calendar this week recognize a full commemoration of the full story of Jesus’ crucifixion, death and resurrection. This is often called the “Triduum” or “Paschal Triduum.” Many in our area follow Christian practices as they seek spiritual nourishment and community.

With this in mind, we present this compilation and informational section, highlighting area churches of various worship styles.

Easter Sunday is considered a “moveable feast” since it changes each year, and this year it falls on April 5, 2026. It is considered a principal feast of the Christian liturgical calendar, and is celebrated with both solemnity and joy.

Passover begins April 1, 2026.

Interfaith and Jewish homes across South King County may be choosing to mark the season of Passover (Pesach) from April 1-April 9, 2026. This holiday commemorates the Jewish people’s escape from Egyptian slavery as described in the Exodus story found in the Old Testament of the Bible. The holiday typically includes a ritual-rich 15-step feast, which centers around the retelling of the Exodus story. You can learn more about this holiday here
