King County Sheriff’s Office deputies and SeaTac Police responded to a domestic violence call late Thursday night, April 2 in SeaTac, where a vehicle was damaged and a suspect fled the scene, according to police.

The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. in the 19600 block of International Boulevard (map below) near Angle Lake, where a caller reported someone breaking a car window with a hatchet.

When deputies arrived, they found a vehicle with a damaged windshield, a broken driver’s side window and a damaged rearview mirror.

Authorities conducted a large search for the suspect using a K9 unit and Guardian 1 helicopter, but were unable to locate the individual.

Investigators said the people involved appear to know each other and that the incident was not random.

Police said the case has been forwarded to detectives for further review.
