A record-setting community food distribution is coming to Burien this weekend, as Praisealujah hosts what organizers are calling their biggest-ever First Sunday Drive-Thru Food Giveaway.
Set for this Sunday, April 6, 2025, starting at 11 a.m. in the Les Schwab Tire Center parking lot (13609 1st Ave S.; map below), the free food event is open to all and expected to draw hundreds of local residents.
“Tell your neighbors, churches, and community—NO ONE should miss out on this blessing!” organizers said in a statement.
Volunteers will be on hand to fill vehicles with boxes of fresh produce, pantry staples, and other grocery items while supplies last.
Participants are asked to arrive with an empty trunk to make room for the food, and to help spread the word among neighbors, churches, and others in need.
Praisealujah’s monthly food giveaway has become a staple of community support in South King County, offering vital resources to families and individuals facing food insecurity.
“Let’s make history together,” organizers said. “Don’t just read about it. See you there!”

Thank you for reaffirming our commitment to transgender residents and visitors during this tumultuous time due the government cuts and biased decisions.
How are you going to feel when the Government cancels funding and grants given to Cities that goes against it’s policy and agenda? The City of Burien better be careful, even on top of being a so called Sanctuary City, ICE came to Bellingham yesterday and filled a entire bus from just one company.
