Communities thrive when all students have access to high-quality learning opportunities and the critical reading skills needed to prepare them for academic, social, and civic success.

Reading Partners is an education nonprofit that partners with schools and communities to provide elementary-aged students with the foundational literacy skills they need to read at grade level by the fourth grade.

Ready to Help a Student Become a Lifelong Learner?

Come volunteer at schools in the Seattle and Highline school districts, including two Burien elementary schools, Shorewood and Cedarhurst.

We are currently seeking in-person volunteer tutors to work one-on-one with students in the 2023-24  school year.

With as little as one hour per week you can help a child become a lifelong reader, and open up a world of infinite possibilities.

We offer flexible tutor hours, operating in twelve schools, Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm. No experience required!

We provide volunteers with a structured curriculum, training, and ongoing support designed to help you and your student succeed.
