Who is ready to be a champion for the environment? International Coastal Cleanup is the largest global cleanup effort of the year and Burien’s Environmental Science Center (ESC) will be hosting a branch of this awesome event.
Volunteers are needed at Seahurst Park Beach on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. for the largest worldwide volunteer effort to protect the ocean.
In partnership with Burien Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services, ESC will be pitching in to remove trash and other debris from the beach and forest trails of Seahurst Park.
This cleanup is open to all ages and ability levels! Stay for all however much of the two hours you have time for to help clean, collect data to be used by scientists and policy makers, and participate in some hands-on science activities.
