Registration is now open for the 2025 Burien Brat Trot, a community fun run scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025 in downtown Burien to raise funds for the Highline Schools Foundation.

The annual fundraiser event will kick off at 10 a.m. with a 5K run along SW 152nd Street and surrounding neighborhood roads, followed by a 1K kids’ race.

Day-of registration begins at 9 a.m.

For more than 15 years, the Brat Trot has served as one of Burien’s most popular community fundraiser events. Proceeds benefit the foundation’s work to provide basic needs, innovative learning opportunities, and college and career readiness for students across Highline.

Organizers said prizes will be awarded to the school with the most participants, the adult team with the most participants, and the top men’s and women’s 5K finishers, along with the top boys’ and girls’ 1K finishers.

Team registration is available with a 10 percent discount. Participants are encouraged to email the foundation for a promo code before signing up.

After the races, an all-ages celebration will be hosted by Logan Brewing Company with treats and prizes for winners.

Details and registration are available at highlineschoolsfoundation.org.
