The Burien Brat Trot is BACK, and the 2014 version will be another Bavarian-style BLAST on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014!
The area’s flat, fast and fun 5k is back for another year in B-Town – run, walk, trot and celebrate in this great community race – all to benefit our local public schools!
Stay for the post-race festival, Bavarian Fest, complete with beer gardens, kids’ activities, live music, awards, and of course…Bratwurst.

The Wandering Brat Instagram Contest is BACK!
Back by popular demand! We’ve created a fun little guy out of a plastic hot dog, have costumed him up, and named him “Bret the Brat! Bring your Bret the Brat with you wherever you go between September 15 and October 2 and take a photo of him in interesting, fun and wacky places! Post your pics on Instagram and tag them with #thewanderingbrat. Each tagged photo gives you one entry in a random drawing for a $100 gift card to the Tin Room! Your “Bret the Brat” can be picked up at the Tin Room in Olde Burien, 923 SW 152nd Street. Your Bret is yours to keep! Questions? Email racedirector@burienbrattrot.com.
Brat Trot Team Pub Crawl, Friday October 3, 7 p.m.
Head out as a pack (teams of 2 or more) to some of your favorite Burien establishments—enjoy drink and menu specials, endure challenges, earn points, have a blast! All teams are entered to win great prizes—prizes will be awarded on race day. Register online in advance for $10 or at the Tin Room on crawl night between 6 and 7 p.m. ($15). Crawl starts promptly at 7 p.m.!
Corporate Team Challenge
Groups of 10 or more representing the same organization can register as Corporate Teams and receive a discount. The team with the most registrations by midnight, October 2, wins a holiday party at the Tin Theater and a $500 credit for food and drink! Teams must have a discount code specific to their team to register. To get a team code, email racedirector@burienbrattrot.com.
Fastest Team Challenge
All teams registered will automatically be entered into this challenge! W’ll add up the times of the top ten finishers from every team (5k only). The team with the fastest cumulative time wins bragging rights, and the Fastest Team Trophy!
School Registration Contest
Register and win money for your school! When you register, simply select your school from the dropdown menu under “school affiliation and your registration automatically counts for your school. The top 3 schools with the more registrations win prize money! To track this current standings, visit www.burienbrattrot.com and click the school registration drive tab. Winners announced on race day.
