Silver Dollar Casino closure in SeaTac follows Maverick bankruptcy filing

From our sister site The SeaTac Blog:

Maverick Gaming announced this week that it plans to close its Silver Dollar SeaTac Casino and lay off about 65 employees as part of ongoing restructuring tied to its bankruptcy proceedings.

According to a worker notification filing, the Kirkland-based company expects the job cuts to take effect June 30. Positions impacted span multiple departments, with table game dealers representing the largest share, along with servers, line cooks, cashiers and security staff.

The casino, located at 19202 Pacific Highway South near Sea-Tac Airport (map below), had previously been slated for closure in December 2025. That shutdown was delayed as the company continued bankruptcy proceedings and explored a potential sale of the property.

The latest filing indicates the closure is now moving forward, with staffing reductions tied to the end of operations at the SeaTac site.

The move marks a shift from Maverick’s earlier position during its Chapter 11 filing, when the company said it did not intend to close any of its casinos during the court supervised process. Maverick Gaming filed for Chapter 11 protection in July 2025 under its corporate name RunItOneTime LLC following what it described as a review of its finances and operations.
