At approximately 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, Washington State Patrol (WSP) communications received a 9-1-1 call reporting a collision on northbound SR 167 near 180th Street in Tukwila (map below).
Once troopers arrived and spoke with a witness, it was determined that the causing vehicle entered northbound SR 167 from 180th Street traveling the wrong way.
The wrong-way vehicle was described as a Ford Mustang and ended up colliding with another vehicle.
Troopers determined the wrong way driver was impaired and he was placed in custody for investigation of Vehicular Assault due to the victim driver sustaining serious injuries.
The causing driver was identified as 20-year-old Cesar Said Ramos Mejia, who was booked into the King County Jail.
