Estimated restoration times for Burien-area residents to regain power has been pushed back 24 hours, and nearly 1,400 Seattle City Light customers are still without electricity in the greater Burien region.
The majority of those who are still in the dark lost power due to a “bomb cyclone” weather event the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 19, and are now entering their second full day without it.
The most recent estimated restoration times have been revised to around midnight on Thursday, Nov. 21 – a full 24 hours later than City Light’s original guesstimate.
City Light said that – as of 9:30 a.m. – it’s now down from over 113,000 on Tuesday night to around 10,000 customers without electricity; view their outage map here:

We know there is frustration with the current ETORs. We're working to update them. It's hard to predict an ETOR accurately until thoroughly assessing each situation. Damage in the hardest-hit areas is extensive and we face substantial challenges to repair efforts. pic.twitter.com/wuAea10Nrw
