Here are two videos from the meeting – first, an edited version of highlights from the event (running time 1 hour and 18 minutes):

And second, a presentation from Quiet Skies Coalition member Walt Bala on the FAA’s negligence (running time 12:07):

The deadline for citizen comment on the Port’s SAMP Scoping Project is this Friday, Sept. 28.
The Quiet Skies Coalition recommends that residents download this PDF form, then:

“…initial boxes next to each question you agree we should all be asking the Port (if you’re like me, you’ll want to ask all 10!). Then complete and sign the second page, stick it in a stamped envelope, and mail it to:

Mr. Steve Rybolt, Port of Seattle Aviation Environment and Sustainability
P.O. Box 68727
Seattle, WA 98168

“Or if you have a scanner at home, then scan your signed form and email it to the Port of Seattle at
“Or use these questions as inspiration for your own comments which you can submit using the form at the bottom of the SAMP environmental review page.
“Either way, the most important thing you can do right now is comment, and the window for comments closes a week from tomorrow.
“It’s imperative the Port hears from concerned citizens, so let’s get loud!”

For a $5/monthly fee, this button will allow you to send a complaint to the FAA every time you hear an airplane that’s too loud.
