Volunteers are needed for a community restoration event at Hilltop Park in Burien this Saturday, Nov. 15, to work alongside student leaders from the Outdoor Innovators after school program to remove invasive blackberry and ivy.

The restoration event will run from Noon to 3 p.m. at Hilltop Park, located at 2450 South 128th Street in Burien (map below).

Student Restoration Interns will help lead hands on activities and share plant knowledge as volunteers work to improve the park’s natural habitat.

Organizers say all ages are welcome, and food and coffee will be available for participants.

The event is part of ongoing stewardship efforts supported by local partners including the City of Burien, Environmental Science Center, and the Green Burien Partnership.
