If you wondered what the large police response was in Burien last Thursday, Aug. 6, 2020, the King County Sheriff’s Office says that detectives were attempting to find a murder suspect wanted by the Seattle Police Department.

A heavy police presence – including KCSO’s Guardian One helicopter – was reported from around the Safeway on SW 148th Street north to Fred Meyer, and west to 6th Ave SW near Chelsea Park.

Police advised residents that a murderer was “on the loose” in that area, and to stay safely indoors. He was described as being in his 20s, around 6 feet tall, last seen wearing a grey hoodie, with just above shoulder length blonde hair with sunken eyes.

After a very long search, the suspect was not located.
