Welcome new Sponsor Marlaina’s Mediterranean Kitchen: A Healthy Place to Eat
Marlaina’s Mediterranean Kitchen offers healthy dining in more ways than one. You can enjoy fresh and delicious Mediterranean cuisine, (long recognized to provide benefits such as lowering cholestoral and increasing longevity) AND, you can do it in a well ventilated and continuously disinfected dining room. Thanks to germicidal ultraviolet C lighting(GUV) recently installed at Marlaina’s, the indoor dining space is a continuously disinfected environment, using technology which has been scientifically demonstrated to kill the Covid-19 coronavirus. Check out the recent coverage done by National Public Radio (NPR) in the links below for more information about this leading edge technology.
The GUV at Marlaina’s works in conjunction with their enhanced ventilation ceiling fans to create a safe space for both employees and customers. These recent investments made by owner/chef Musa Firat and his wife Jackie were significant, but the cheerful couple feel they are well worth it, in order to continue their mission of caring for employees and customers like family. “Our customers are amazing, so supportive and kind.” says Jackie, ” We couldn’t have reopened after the stay at home order without them, and are so grateful for their continuing support.” Musa and Jackie clearly cherish their customers and their warm hospitality extends through all they do at Marlaina’s, from providing a colorful and inviting atmosphere, to even more colorful and delicious food packed full of antioxidants, beneficial spices and flavor.
The couple have also invested in kitchen equipment to produce in-house organic pita bread. You cannot get fresher warm, fragrant pita unless you make it yourself! The House-made pita serves as the perfect accompaniment to almost everything on the menu, including their generous selection of Mezze (starters). You’ll find classic Mediterranean choices like Hummus – smoothly blended with sesame tahini, Baba Ganoush of roasted eggplant, tangy yogurt-based Tzatziki, cool and fragrant Tabouli and more.
When you are ready for your entree, choices abound, offering both vegan, gluten free and carnivore options to delight. Why not try the new lamb meatball special? Or select one of their five different Kebab entrees, running the gamut of salmon to beef, chicken and lamb! Musa enjoys changing the menu often; retaining favorites while bringing new and seasonal choices to delight his guests.
Marlaina’s also offers catering for all sorts of occasions where you desire healthy, flavorful and distinctive dishes to satisfy discerning palates. Whether dinner or lunch, Marlaina’s catering options can fill the bill, deliciously! They are also skilled at serving families and larger groups (within Covid-19 restrictions, of course).
Come see how delicious healthy cuisine can be. You’ll be doing your part to support our local restaurant community and your neighbors Musa and Jackie! The recent newlyweds look forward to welcoming you in and unveiling some of their many future plans still in the works, such as an expanded dining area and select retail offerings. Stay tuned!
Currently, you can enjoy Marlaina’s for dine-in, catering, take-home or delivery. Give them a call or stop by soon!
