Burien Film Festival will kick-off with outdoor screening of cartoons on June 22

To open its 2017 event, the Burien Film Festival will be holding an outdoor screening of old-school silent cartoons with live musical accompaniment on Thursday, June 22.

This FREE, all-ages event will run from 9 – 11 p.m. at a location TBD.

This locally-grown film festival will run from Thursday, June 22 through Sunday,June 25.

WHAT: Enjoy Old School Silent Cartoons with Live Musical Accompaniment by:

  • The Aubergine String Quartet
  • Joshua Kohl, Korby Sears, and Clarke Battle
  • Ryan Burns, Hans Teuber, Geoff Harper, Jacques Willis

  • Sunday Brunch with ‘The Maury Island Incident’! Enjoy brunch plus a Special Showing of the Maury Island Incident with LIVE Commentary by director Scott Schaefer, writer Steve Edmiston, and actor John Patrick Lowrie – stories, humor and fun facts while enjoying the Burien Cult Classic (Mystery Science Theatre 3000-style!).
  • Celebration of Washington Senate Resolution 8648, and the impetus for BFF.
