REMINDER: Public Meeting on the Sea-Tac Airport Impact Study will be this Wednesday, July 24 at Tyee High School in SeaTac.

The meeting will run from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Tyee High School Cafeteria.

This will be first of several planned public meetings by the Washington State Department of Commerce and Stantec Consulting, intended to “inform and engage area residents on a state study of the ongoing impacts of growing operations at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.”

The open house-style meeting will provide information on the study purpose, process and data gathering efforts to date.

Those attending will also have opportunities to give input to the study leaders and members of the technical advisory committee.

The committee consists of city officials from Burien, Des Moines, Federal Way, Normandy Park, SeaTac and Tukwila, and six public representatives.

A future opportunity for public input is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 6 at the City of Burien. This future meeting will be expected to summarize the public comments obtained to date and discuss preliminary findings.

Representatives Tina Orwall and Mike Pelliccioti will also participate.
