Discover Burien will host community watch parties this weekend for the World Cup, with big-screen match broadcasts planned in downtown Burien.
Watch Party Schedule:
- Saturday, July 18, 2 p.m.: Burien Town Square Park and the Olde Burien Block Party on SW 152nd Street, according to Discover Burien.
- Sunday, July 19, 2 p.m.: The final match is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Sunday at Town Square Park.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and gather with friends and family for the events, which Discover Burien described as fun and welcoming community watch parties.
The watch parties will feature live match broadcasts on the big screen, food, activities and opportunities for fans to cheer on their favorite teams.
Some broadcasts and activities also are planned at off-site locations, according to the announcement.
