Valentine’s Day is a time to celebrate love in all its forms – including the love for independent, award-winning local journalism.
This publication was founded on love. When – in December, 2007 – love for our children and spending time as a family inspired us to Google search “events in Burien,” we found nothing, though we knew things were happening. So we decided to do something about that lack of a hub for information in our community and founded The B-Town Blog. Fortunately, readers loved it enough to show up. Soon, some became advertisers, writers and technical or sales helpers. We wouldn’t be here today without them or you, dear reader!
