A man was arrested Thursday afternoon, July 2 after deputies responding to a reported altercation at a Burien business found two men carrying handguns, according to the Burien Police Department and King County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded at about 2:40 p.m. on July 2 to reports of an altercation at a business in the 100 block of SW 148th Street in Burien (map below).

When deputies arrived, they saw two men inside the business, both with guns tucked into their waistbands, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies ultimately arrested one of the men for carrying a concealed weapon without a license. He was booked into the SCORE Jail, and the case will be forwarded to the Burien Prosecutor’s Office, authorities said.

The sheriff’s office did not release additional details about the altercation or identify the individuals involved.
